Bülent DİLAVEROGLU MD, Curriculum Vitae

Born on May 18, 1960, Bülent Dilaveroğlu completed his primary education at Bostancı Primary School and his secondary and high school education at Saint Joseph French High School. Dilaveroğlu, who graduated from Istanbul University Faculty of Medicine in 1985, started his specialization in Orthopedics and Traumatology in Şişli Etfal Training and Research Hospital in January 1988, following his compulsory service. Bülent Dilaveroğlu, who passed the specialty exam in February 1992 and became an Orthopedics and Traumatology Specialist, was appointed as the Chief Assistant to the same clinic. During this 4-year duty, he had the opportunity to work on “hip and knee prosthesis surgery” with Prof. Sedel and Prof. Witvoet at Paris Saint Louis Hospital, Meary Clinic for a while. Dilaveroğlu, who was appointed to Baltalimanı Bone Diseases Hospital on November 22, 1985, at the end of his term as Chief Assistant, retired from civil service in March 2011 after working there for more than 15 years. He continued to work as a freelance physician.

Work Experience Having the opportunity to attend the Academy of American Orthopedic Surgeons (AAOS), the World Orthopedic Congress (SICOT) and the European Orthopedic Congress (EFORT) many times throughout his working life, Dr. Bülent Dilaveroğlu has presented many papers in such international congresses and also in many national congresses, especially on the applications of hip and knee prostheses and their revisions. He speaks French and English.
