Brain Surgery
Neurosurgery is a branch of medicine that deals with the diagnosis and treatment of brain and nerve diseases. This specialty includes the surgical treatment of problems such as lumbar and cervical hernias, head and spinal cord injuries, cerebral vascular occlusions and cerebral hemorrhages, as well as tumors arising from or compressing brain and spinal cord tissue. It also deals with diseases such as aneurysms (ballooning of the arteries that supply the brain and spinal cord).
